Practice outlining chord tones by playing — or singing — the root, 3rd, 5th, and 7th of each key. Use the Direction to alternate ascending and descending patterns, and the Method to reinforce note names or scale degrees. Auto-change cycles through keys so every key gets equal attention.

Walking Bass Lines

Use the displayed key as your harmonic target and craft a walking bass line that lands on the root at the start of each new chord. Practice connecting chord tones with chromatic approach notes and diatonic passing tones. Jazz Progressions mode cycles through common changes like ii-V-I and 12-bar blues.

Drone

The drone sustains a tonal center so you can hear every note you play in relation to the key. Use it to sharpen intonation, explore chord tone resonance, or simply ground your practice. Choose root, major, minor, or dominant 7th drone chords — or set it to Random to keep things unpredictable.

Ear Training

Put down your instrument and just listen. Let the drone play, then sing the chord tones of the displayed key from memory. Practice identifying whether the drone is major, minor, or dominant. Sing scale degrees and name intervals. The circle of fifths display keeps the answer visible — peek only after you've committed.
